  1. PC Valet Shell (VALET) is shareware and is not a public domain program.
  2. Individuals  are  granted a free license to use VALET for up to 30 days for 
  3. evaluation  purposes.  To continue using  VALET  after that time,  you must
  4. register VALET in one of the following manners.
  5.  
  6. Registrations that are available.
  7.   
  8.   1>   FOR INDIVIDUALS: TO USE WHAT YOU HAVE:
  9.   For $15, as an individual,  you  register the copy that you currently 
  10.   have.  You are then granted a license to use VALET on any computer as long
  11.   as only one copy of VALET is ever in use at any one time. You will be 
  12.   notified of the first update but it will not automatically be sent.
  13.       
  14.   2>   FOR ANYONE: A DISK WITH THE LATEST VERSION, A HARD COPY OF THE 
  15.   DOCUMENTATION AND FREE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE:
  16.   For $25, you  will  receive the latest  version of VALET (or the next
  17.   available  version  if  you  have  the  latest)  and  a hard  copy  of the
  18.   documentation.  You will also be notified of updates to  VALET  (these are
  19.   free when you send a blank disk upon notification). You are then granted a
  20.   license to use the latest version of VALET on any computer as long as only
  21.   one copy of VALET is ever in use at any one time.
  22.   
  23.   3>   FOR ORGANIZATIONS AND BUSINESSES:
  24.   Site licenses  and  multi-copy  licenses  are available  at super low
  25.   costs.  A site license covers all computers that are owned by your company
  26.   and as a FREE bonus,  the computers of all your current employees.  Please
  27.   contact  Center Post  for more  information on site licenses.  Include the
  28.   number of company owned computers  that the license will apply to.  Please
  29.   include your phone number.

  40. DISTRIBUTION

  42. This package may be freely distributed provided that no  files are modified
  43. in any manner.  The following files MUST be distributed with VALET in their
  44. original unmodified version:

  49.       VALET.EXE
  50.       VALET.DOC
  51.       VA_READ.ME

  53. The  manner  of  distribution of this package  does  not  relieve the final 
  54. recepient of the package from the obligation  to register this product with
  55. CenterPost Group or John Junod.  Also the recepient of the package MUST be
  56. made aware of the fact that this  is  not  a public domain program and that
  57. they are required to register VALET to be able to continue to use it.

  59. VALET.EXE must  not be modified in any manner.  You are not allowed to edit
  60. the messages that appear in VALET.EXE with any kind of editor.

  62. WARRANTY
  63.  
  64. With respect  to the physical disk, the author warrents the same to be free
  65. of defects  in materials  and workmanship  for a period of 30 days from the
  66. date of  purchase.  In the event of notification within the warrenty period
  67. of defects  in  material  or  workmanship,  the  author  will  replace  the
  68. defective diskette.   The  remedy for  breach of  this  warranty  shall  be
  69. limited to replacement and shall not encompass any other damages, including
  70. but not  limited to loss of profit, and special, incidental, consequential,
  71. or other similar claims.

  73. The author  specifically  disclaims  all  other  warranties,  expressed  or
  74. implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability
  75. and fitness  for a  particular purpose  with  respect  to  defects  in  the
  76. diskette and documentation.  In no event shall the author or the CenterPost
  77. Group be liable for any loss of profit or any other commercial damage,
  78. including but not limited to special, incidental, consequential or other
  79. damages.

  81. The author retains all rights to this package and the right to make updates
  82. to this  package without  notification to  the purchaser.   This package is
  83. sold and distributed "as is".
